Longo is ready to visit Athens
A south Florida prospect that has been much talked about in recent weeks is defensive end Jeremy Longo. Longo claims around 40 scholarship offers and one from Miami just arrived. He visited Coral Gables last week and now he is set to visit Athens and the University of Georgia.
"I am looking forward to visiting Georgia," said Longo. "I have heard a lot about it and I want to see it for myself. I will be heading up there to visit Georgia on Tuesday and Wednesday."
Longo's parents will be visiting Georgia with him and they just returned from a visit to a school closer to home late last week.
"I did visit Miami last Thursday and it was a pretty nice visit. I like the fact that it is close to home and everything was pretty nice there. You could say that I liked my visit there."
Now that the visit to Miami is behind him, could his visit to Georgia be his last?
"We will have to wait and see what happens at Georgia," said Longo. "It could be my final visit, but I am not sure yet. I am thinking about visiting LSU later this summer, but I am waiting to see how I feel at Georgia. It all depends on what happens there."
The Bulldogs have mentioned as the team to beat for this 6-foot-5, 230-pound rush end out of Ft. Lauderdale. What does Longo have to say about the SEC program?
"I like Georgia a lot," he said. "I just talked to Coach John Jancek the other night. He is real excited about me coming up and he seems like a cool coach. If the visit to Georgia goes real well, then that could be it for me. I have a lot of interest in Georgia and I just want to see how I feel there."
