Three hundred of South Carolina's best football players will take the field at Newberry College today to participate in the best high school football combine/showcase in the country. Players will see how they measure up in the testing phase and then take the field for one-on-one's.
Athletes will go through testing of the 40 yard dash, pro-agility shuttle, vertical jump. Position breakdowns will further test players and put them through a series of position specific drills. After the completion of the skills, the commencement of the one-on-one competitions and showcase begins, giving our coaching staff a full hour of evaluation time with this portion of the event.
While some camps/combines separate players by grade, SCV keeps the players together for testing and competition for the integrity of the event. Colleges are not interested in how good you are against ninth graders or 10th graders, etc... they are interested in how good you are against the best. The SCVARISTY event puts the best against the best. How can you ever say or prove you're the best unless you have competition? True greatness is in the man who not only welcomes competition, but seeks it out.
Our events are open to and/or covered by Rivals.com publishers, ESPNU, Scout.com, 247Sports, as well as local media markets. Our data is made available to all college coaches FREE of charge in spreadsheet format. We actually have DII, DIII, and JUCO coaches on hand at our events. (DI and I-AA coaches are not permitted to attend per NCAA rules)

INFORMATION - HOLIDAY INN EXPRESS - NEWBERRY, SOUTH CAROLINA
Registration will take place in front of the Physical Education Center/Gym on the campus of Newberry College. There should be four registration lines. Be sure that you have your release form in hand. It is a good idea to have your receipt in hand in case of registration error. If you are not on the roster and do not have your receipt, you will not be signed in. Our registration table staff are only there to sign in players and will not be able to assist you if your name is not on the roster.
Registration will begin at 9:00 am and as soon as you are registered, you will be instructed on where to go. Some players will start on the field with the 40 and Pro-agility shuttle, while others will begin with the vertical jump.
You will be given a "score" card at the registration table. Keep up with that card throughout the testing phase. Camp officials will mark your results on this card and they will be taken up at the end of the testing phase. IF anyone marks on this card other than an Camp Official, you will be excused from participation in this event and no results will be posted.
We will have staff on the field to assist you with warm ups but it is of utmost importance that you stretch and warm up properly. The last thing you need is a pulled muscle as we head into spring practice season.

If you do not want results posted from a certain testing station, let the camp official running that station know and he will mark your card accordingly. DO NOT mark on the card yourself or you will be excused form participation in the event.
There are professional trainers on hand (provided by our corporate sponsor, Moore Orthopedics) to help with any injuries, strains, pulls, etc... If you have any type of injury coming into the camp and need taping, go to the trainer's tent and they will help you.
There will be DII college coaches on campus watching this event. Remember, they are there looking for football players. This may be the first time and only time they see you so the first impression you give them will be the lasting impression.
Look like an athlete. They are looking for football players - not rap stars or rock stars.
Watch the language. Please try to communicate with one another without foul language. If we hear it, we will give you a warning.
Be respectful. The camp staff, many of whom take time out of their weekend schedule away from their families to work this event, do not need to get attitudes from players. Remember this; you don't play for our team and we have no problem excusing you from the event if the attitudes get out of hand.
Have fun. Many players get nervous at these events. Remember...its just football. It is the game you love, so relax and have a good time.Below is the current roster for the event; if your name is not on the list, you MUST verify with us prior to Saturday. Email your receipt to us at email@example.com
