As they face their biggest rival Friday night, Gaffney High School will honor the memory of a 7-month-old who recently died from a heart defect.
Kirby Faith Bradley is the daughter
of Josh and Ashley Irvin Bradley, who live in Boiling Springs, and the
granddaughter of longtime Gaffney High assistant coach Larry Irvin.
Josh Bradley also is a former Boiling Springs High School football
player who graduated in 2000. Baby "K" passed at the age of 7 months
due to a congenital heart defect.
In conjunction with Gaffney's playoff game, Hollywood Productions, the Cherokee Chronicle and WZZQ-FM have organized a stuffed animal drive in Kirby's memory. The animals collected will be sent to MUSC and distributed to children hospitalized there.
Just bring your stuffed animal to
the Gaffney vs Byrnes footbal game on Friday night and there will be
collection bins at the gate for the donations. If you are in the
Midlands area and would like to particiapte, email SCVarsity.com and we will make
arrangements to receive your donation to this cause.
