The QB1 QB-WR Training Days is doing more than just improving players around the state; its is also allowing us to discover the ones who were not yet on the radar and allowing us to help them get there. Blythewood 2014 wide receiver Lynard Jamison is one who caught our attention this past week.

The 5-10, 170lbs athlete, who started for the Bengals as a sophomore in 2011, put up 449 yards of offense, averaging 16.6 yards per catch and scored 5 touchdowns.

Jamison is all about speed and was an track and field All-American as a sophomore last track season, running on the Team Blaze 4x100 relay team that finished 2nd in the nation. He was also a state qualifier for Blythewood in the Long Jump.

The junior standout is also involved in some impressive off-field activities. He is a member of the City of Columbia Mayor's Youth Commission for leadership development and community service, and is a Four Paws Ahe nimal Clinic volunteer.

In camp with QB1, Jamison was one of the more impressive receivers at the Columbia session III. He showed, obviously, great speed but ran his routes very well. He demonstrated proficiency at sticking his foot in the ground and making the tough cuts, made great adjustments on the ball, and showed excellent hands.  He never body catches and on jump balls, attacks the ball at its highest point.

Jamison has the ability to be an impact player for the Bengals. He's got explosive speed after the catch and could probably be dangerous as a return specialist, as well. He is a definite FCS caliber player and with his off-field assets would make a great pick up for any program.

We will keep you posted on this 2014 talent as we continue to see him work out this off-season and into the 2013 football season.
