the Blazers and two of their top players - running back Bucky Kennedy
and defensive back Steffon Batts
received their first DI offer today.
Air Force became the first school to offer the Columbia pair of athletes.
Kennedy, a 5-10, 176lbs all-purpose back, 1,024 yards, averaging 6.6
yards per carry.
He is an explosive runner who excells to the hole quickly and has a second
burst once he's through the hole. He displays very good field vision, often
making the first tackler miss, and is deceptively strong for his size, finishing
his runs well.
Batts, a 5-11, 165lbs cornerback for the Bengals, finished the 2007 season
with 58 solo tackles, 10 passes broken up, and 6 interceptions. He's got great
speed, good hips, and is able to run with a tight cushion on his receivers.
SCVarsity.com will keep you posted on the recruiting of these two outstanding
athletes from the Class of 2009.
