as expected, the 6-2, 190lbs athlete will be staying in state for his collegiate career.
Committed Friday to Clemson over USC and Michigan. Brown made his announcement
during a news conference at his school. He walked to the podium, pulled out his cell
phone, and called Clemson head coach Tommy Bowden with the news.
"Hey coach, send the papers," Brown told Bowden. "I think they
offered the best academically and athletically," Brown said. "They are a
great team. Of course, they are going to bowl games and everything. I think I can
make a good impact at receiver up there. All the coaches were real personal
and the players as well. They look like they were family."
Last season the Shrine Bowler caught 28 passes for 500 yards and 14 touchdowns. As a
safety he totaled 100 tackles with four interceptions.
