Cheraws Matthews Gets Two More SEC Offers

Matthews is one of the top prospects in the Palmetto State's class of 2007. As a
junior, the 6-foot-5, 235-pound Matthews racked up 66 tackles, seven sacks, four fumble
recoveries and two interceptions on defense, and grabbed 17 balls for 210 yards and four
touchdowns on offense.
Matthews, who has been clocked at 4.8 in the 40, now has six offers on the table.
According to Matthews, he got the call from Florida and Auburn, with each of the big
SEC programs extending offers to the big man.
The Gators and Tigers now join the list of offers from Clemson, South Carolina, North
Carolina, Tennessee.
The three things that he's looking for in a school are "Academics, athletics, and
the social life," he said.
