your limits, but push you beyond them.
With the top coaches in the business on our staff, our
Training Camp will teach you the how and why behind the training
system, so that
you will understand how it helps your body and performance. You will
also get a
cranial session on defensive schemes and reading the offense.
CORNERBACKS
AND SAFETIES
As I talk to recruiters on a daily basis, they always claim
the same
thing; the hardest positions to recruit are defensive backs because
players today at the high school level lack true coverage skills.
That's about to change in South Carolina.
Playing in the secondary requires speed and quickness. But you
are
not a wide receiver or a running back so don't train like them. The
body mechanic demands of your position are different and there are
skill specific to those mechanical demands. We will put you through
them.
But being fast and athletic is only part of the equation. The
mental
preparation is what sets apart the great defensive backs. What are your
quarterback pre and post snap reads? What is you're release point on
that read? What is your break point on a slant? On a hitch? What are
your reads to increase your level of play in the run game? Are you
prepared mentally for this position? After the

LINEBACKERS
Playing linebacker, much like the secondary, requires speed and
quickness; but that speed and quickness must be engraved into your
muscle memory because you won't have time to think about things like
stance, pursuit, etc...you are the quarterback of the defense. You need
to know your assignements, focal points of tackling, how to
disengage blocks, blitzing techniques, run reads, play action reads,
pass drops for zone and man, and an overall understanding of defensive
concepts. At the PEAK
DEFENSIVE SKILLS CAMP, you will get those
things, plus much more.

Our staff will put you through a set of speed, agility, and
body
mechanic
drills designed specifically for your position. The body mechanics you
use as a
quarterback are not the same as a defensive back; the defensive back
not the
same as the wide receiver; not the same as a linebacker...you get it?
Each
position has specific movements that you make in a game that require a
different
time of explosion, acceleration, and transitional movements. Our
workouts are
designed to meet your positional requirements specifically, so that
when the
season comes and the 4th quarter roles around, YOU will be ready for
HIM.
It's all about the depth chart, my friend, and not just your
depth
chart. Once you get to the top of yours, its about who you will be
facing at the top of theirs. What are you willing to do to make
sure you win that battle?
