DOWN AND DIRTY LINEMAN CAMPS are designed to be the ultimate experience

for the offensive and defensive linemen, lending opportunity for all
players to be tested and evaluated as players in their athleticism and
skills, as well as the chance to compete with their peers in events
designed to challenge them physically and mentally to find the ultimate
DOWN AND DIRTY LINEMAN. During this process, these young men will be
photographed, filmed, and interviewed and get the absolute best
exposure they can get anywhere in the country. SCVarsity.com is part of

WHO CAN ATTEND:
We run two groups at each camp. The HIGH SCHOOL group is for players
entering grades 9-12 for the 2013 football season. The MIDDLE SCHOOL
group is for players entering grades 6-8 for the 2013 football
season.
Drills, skills, testing, and challenges are kepth skill-level
appropriate for each group, however, we encourage the younger players
to embrace the opportunity to work out amongst the older, more
experienced players in an effort to get the youth "fired up" about
playing this position and the game of football. The spirit of
competition among the older players is always high and it is infectious
and one of the best motivators for the younger players.
WHAT PLAYERS CAN EXPECT AT CAMP:
First and foremost, players can expect an intense workout session. This
is a four hour camp and it is four hours of work. While some lineman
camps boast about their teaching and instruction, we boast about the
hard work and training that our players get in. Don't get me wrong,
there's plenty of quality instruction. But our idea of a camp
experience is not a large group of players standing around watching a
coach and two other players demonstrate stuff. You WILL work at this
camp.
All players will be measured for height and weight. They will also be
timed in the 40 yard dash, with a 10-second split. High School players
will perform bench press for reps at 185lbs.
Players will also be timed in position specific events. There will
be two different timed skills events for offensive linemen and
defensive linemen. These events are designed to evaluate specific
skills requirements for your position. For offense, these drills focus
on pulling and kick-slide, while on the defensive side they focus on
pass rush moves to the quarterback.
WHAT WILL THIS CAMP DO FOR YOU AS A PLAYER:
Make no mistake about it, guys; there can only be two reasons the
guy ranked in front of you is ranked there: he's eitehr better than you
or he got more exposure than you. Fortunately, YOU have conrol over
both of those things. You can make the choice about how hard you will
out-work your opponents on a daily basis and you control the
opportunity at exposure by the camps you choose.
For the high school players, these camps will put you in the
limelight of the high school football world. SCVarsity.com is part of

highlights, achievements, competitions, and participants are included
in our own coverage of these camps.
We run a very detailed database of our player evaluations, as well
as contact information on our players. We DO NOT send out information
unsolicited to colleges, as so many other camp/combine companies and
recruiting services proclaim to do. Unsolicited information ends up in
the garbage. We have a specific database of schools who inquire and
solicit our information annually and those are the schools who get your
information.
This camp will develop your skills and give you the opportunity to
take drills home with you and continue to improve on those skills. We
believe in overcoming your potential. So many other companies will use
the word "potential" as a compliment to you. I'm telling you that if
you have potiential, that means that I don't think you're nearly as
good as you could be and you have some work to do. #GETBETTER!
WHAT DO I NEED TO BRING TO CAMP:
It is
not mandatory but HIGHLY ENCOURAGED to bring your helmet. This is
considered a non-contact camp, but there is limited contact from the
waste above and we do not want guys butting heads without helmets.
You
will need your football cleats. This is the trenches guys. Leverage is
king. Don't show up to camps without your cleats.
You
will need a strong work ethic. Guys, I do not expect you to be the best
lineman on every rep of camp. I expect you to give the best efffort on
every rep, however. It takes zero talent to give effort.
Bring
a student-mentality. Be prepared to learn and to get better. Our
coaches are going to get on you for something during this camp. Do NOT
take it as a criticism. Take it as coaching. No one on my staff will
ever "criticize you" if you are giving effort. We will, however, make
sure you know when you do something incorrectly so that you can correct
that error and do it the right way. That goes as much for the 6th
graders as it does the 12th graders. There is NO AGE LIMIT on doing
things the right way.

insurance, and your DOWN AND DIRTY performance shirt.
