he received an offer from the University of South Carolina and that was followed on
Tuesday with an offer to Maryland.
A 6-5, 255-pounder, Hivera (pronounced like Javier – HA VEE AYR) notched five
sacks as a junior. His combination of size and speed – he runs the 40-yard dash in
4.8 seconds – allowed him to make 134 tackles for the state runner-up Conway Tigers.
Eric
Huggins, Green's teammate, received his twentieth offer on Tuesday - this one
from the University of North Carolina. Huggins, who has been one of the hottest
commodities on the prospect market this spring, visited Oklahoma on an unofficial visit
during Spring Break last week and liked what he saw. Sources tell us that Huggins has an
"Oklahoma" plate on his SUV and was seen around school this week wearing an
Oklahoma t-shirt. It has been believed from the beginning that the Sooners are the top
favorite with the 6-3 receiver.
