attention from recruiters and one of them got a major offer from an ACC powerhouse this
morning.
Mason Cloy, a 6-4, 265lbs
lineman received his sixth offer to add to his list of schools that have already offered
when he got the call from Virginia Tech quarterback's coach Mike O'Caine.
Cloy knew about the offer yesterday, but contrary to reports from other sources, he actually didn't talk to the coaches and get the offer via telephone until this morning.
He said they are offering him as a tight end.
Southern Mississippi, Clemson, South Carolina, Vanderbilt and East Carolina have
extended offers to the the offensive stalwart..
Cloy is getting serious interest from Wake Forest and UConn as well.
Cloy is an SCVarsity.com Top Twenty-Five player who is very athletic and even played
some tight end for the Vikings this past season. He power cleans 275lbs and has 4.9 speed.
He started as a sophomore for the Vikings at tackle.
