How can you ever say or prove you're the best unless you have competition?
True greatness is in the man who not only welcomes competition, but seeks it
out.
I want to say thank you to Jim
Baxter and his staff. Attending the SC Varsity Combine
and camp this past summer gave my son the opportunity to show others
what he is capable of. The exposure and contacts we made has resulted in
interest from major schools including Notre Dame and Tennessee among others. The
staff was very professional and I would strongly recommend SC Varsity to anyone
serious about playing college football. Again THANK YOU SC VARSITY!!!!

The best high school football combine in the country just got better! For
more than seven years, SCVarsity.com has produced the Elite/All-State Football Combine
for South Carolina and has
been the top football combine available for football players in the Southeast.
The testing, skills drills, and one-on-one performance competition has been
second to none in the entire nation. Now, our event has just gotten better! Each
year, this event has grown more and more popular outside of South Carolina,
drawing players from neighboring states and from states as far off as New
Jersey.
Beginning with our 2012 events, the Elite/All-State Football Combine is going to become
a two-day event. Day one will consist of an early check in at our hotel
headquarters. At early check in, players will be able to register/check in and
get their performance shirts (pre-screened with ID numbers) the evening before
the event so that they may begin testing immediately on Saturday morning and
avoid the usually long check in line. Also on day one, Recruiting Analyst Jim
Baxter, along with former collegiate players who are members of his team, will
be delivering a free RECRUITING 101 seminar, going over the recruiting process
with the parents/players. After the recruiting seminar, there will be an EXPO
event with multiple vendors - shoes, apparel, training equipment, etc.. -
available to all athletes/parent. We will also have a MEET AND GREET with the
players, parents, and our staff for some fellowship and fun.
Coach Baxter, First I would like to tell you that we have payed alot of money
that we didn't have for Chris to attend combines this spring and your showcase
today beat them all by a land slide. Your coach's were more than helpful and
it was worth every penny and then some. In fact I left wondering why I didn't
have the good sense as a parent to move to SC and if Chris wasn't going into
his senior year of high school I would! Thank you for allowing us to come and
participate.

SCVarsity.com Elite Football Combine and Showcase
Day 2 will be the combine event. Players who were not at Day I early check in
will go through check in/registration first. Players who were at Day I early
check in will proceed to testing as usual. Our event will be set up for the Hgt,
Wgt, Shuttle, 40 yard dash, Vertical Jump, and bench press. After testing,
players will break into position groups and go through position specific skills
drills by their position coach and then, the final part of the event and the
player/fans' favorite, the One-on-Ones, where the players will break into three
groups - QB/WR/DB, OL/DL, RB/LB for one on one competitions and evaluations.
The best thing about the event is that we are going national with our event
in 2012, so the data compiled at the events will be able to be compared to data
from the other states who are hosting our event. No longer do we have to guess
how you compare to kids in Georgia, North Carolina, Florida, etc...because we
will be testing those guys with our same staff and watching their one-on-one's
with the same eyeballs that watch you.
Our events have tested more than 2,500 athletes in five years, with many
going on to play in state and national all-star games. We also have had players
each year leave our events with offers on the table from Division II recruiters
who were on hand to watch the event. (Division I and IAA coaches are not
allowed to attend these events per NCAA rules, but they do receive all data from
our event, as well as our "hot list" of players from the event)
All data and our "hot list" of players are given not only to the
college recruiters, but made available - for free - to RIVALS.COM, ESPNU,
SCOUT.COM, as well as local media outlets requesting information. This event is
open to the public for free and is open to all media members for coverage.
