Palmetto State DE Gives Commitment

Beaufort (SC) Shrine Bowl defensive end Devin Taylor ended speculation about where he
will spend his college career on Monday, holding a press conference at his school to tell
all he would be staying in state for his collegiate career.
Taylor (6-6 220) of Beaufort High School,  committed Monday afternoon to USC.
He picked the Gamecocks over Virginia Tech and Duke.
"I just got a good feeling being around their players and coaches," Taylor
said. "Coach (Shane) Beamer is a good recruiter. He did a good job filling me in on
everything that was going on."
Last season Taylor totaled 110 tackles with 10 sacks and 19 tackles for loss, helping
the Eagles get to the State AAAA Championship game.
