Class of 2008. After helping lead the Braves to the Class AA State Championship this past
season, Brown has found himself in the midst of a recruiting stock surge and it continues
as he has drawn three new offers to add to his list.
"I got offered by Duke, Vanderbilt, and West Virginia this week," Brown told
SCVarsity on Wednesday night. "They were in school this week and told my coach that
they were offering."
Last Spring, Brown received a verbal offer from Clemson during the Cheraw Spring
practice drills. In September, he got offers from South Carolina and Tennessee.
Brown finished the 2006 season with 20 receptions and more than 500 yards for 13
touchdowns. On defense he collected over 90 tackles and had 2 interceptions. Despite his
prowess on both sides of the ball, he has a clear idea of what he would rather do.
"I want to play offense," said the 6-2, 187lbs two-way starter. "I like
playing defense too, but offense - wide receiver - is where I want to be."
Brown states that everyone that has offered is recruiting him as a wide receiver.
His offer list is Clemson, Duke, Kentucky, South Carolina, Tennessee, Vanderbilt, and
West Virginia.
Brown will be participating in the SCVarsity.com All-State Football Combine on May 12th
at Brookland-Cayce High School.
SCVarsity.com...in recruiting, its not who you know....its
who knows about you.
